Newbies: Blue ticks do not have special meaning here...
If you want to have a blue tick your instance may have :verified: as a blue tick emoji, so you just put it in your name on your profile.
It can be a bit pretentious, obviously.
In my case, I've compromised with 
an ® in a blue shape, seeing as I do have a registered trademark in "revk".
Is that even more pretentious?
