RT kennwhite: A "no logging" VPN service had millions of user logs exposed on an open Elasticsearch server, including plaintext passwords, geo, & IPs and took 2+ weeks to close after being notified.
Lesson: Commercial VPN services lie. A lot.

@revk PIA has been battle tested in court. Half the reason I went with them.
Look at what options I have:
I tried Tor but it is too slow and has many drawbacks.
Of the available VPN's PIA constantly ranked near the top.
I still use Tor every now and then to see the improvements but I do what I must and a VPN is the best I can do.
